Identified Wicked Problem: High Student to Teacher Ratios and the Education Experience

“Wicked Solutions for a Wicked ” (WS WP) works to bridge the gap between technology, storytelling and problem solving within a collaborative environment. The experience will begin on Oct 26, 2011 at UCLA's Charles E. Young Research Library. Over the course of 48 hours, a “core team” of programmers, designers, storytellers, community leaders and researchers will work to harness the power of storytelling to impact the future of education and help alleviate the problems of high student to teacher ratios. By Oct 28, the team will produce a working prototype designed to improve the education experience.

Here, you'll find all of the information that will guide you through the day and prepare you for the discussion. Learn about the concept of Wicked Problems, why the education system can be considered a Wicked Problem, how we plan to tackle the problem, the other participants and logistics of the experience.

We encourage you to participate in the conversation -- help us with collecting and enriching the data that "we already know," and
chart the discussion even before the event. We've create a wiki for this reason; edit away!
